Management

Knee pain requires an accurate diagnosis to ensure appropriate and directed treatment and management to get you back out there moving well. Treatment goals will include improving the range of movement of your knee and lower limb, improving the strength of your knee, addressing how you move and ensuring the whole lower kinetic chain moves in a co-ordinated fashion.

Treatment may involve:

  • hands on treatment (massage, joint mobilisation etc)
  • dry needling
  • taping
  • exercises
  • stretching
  • load management

To ensure you have the greatest outcome it is important that you see a professional as most knee pain can be managed conservatively with guided treatment.
